Guarantee conditions of medacom GmbH (status: 08/2024)
For our products for which a warranty period is specified in the product description, the warranty is granted by:

(henceforth referred to as “medacom GmbH”)
Please contact your specialist dealer to claim under the guarantee.
The warranty claim is in addition to the warranty obligation of your dealer, which is not limited by the warranty. The warranty obligation shall be utilised free of charge.
The guarantee is valid for end consumers within the meaning of §13 BGB. For commercial use, i.e. entrepreneurs according to §14 para. 1 BGB, the warranty period is reduced by half.
The warranty period applies from the date of purchase and is specified with the product. The guarantee applies to deliveries within the European Union.
Our guarantee applies to factory defects and material faults. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the product at the discretion of medacom GmbH.
Consequential damage such as unusable materials or loss of profit are excluded from this guarantee.
The guarantee is tied to the respective product and remains valid in the event of a resale.
Exchange:
If the product is replaced, medacom GmbH is authorised to provide the warranty holder with an equivalent replacement unit.
An exchange does not extend the warranty period: the remaining warranty of the originally purchased product applies.
Repair:
Parts that are removed from a product for repair purposes become the property of medacom GmbH. Parts that are installed in a product for repair become the property of the warranty holder.
If applicable, installed parts are granted the remaining warranty period of the original product.
A repair does not extend the warranty period of a product; the remaining warranty of the originally purchased product applies.
Excluded from this guarantee are:
- Consumables (e.g. but not limited to iron-on foils, paper, plotter blanks, tools, etc.)
- Used products and demonstration models before purchase, with the exception of products certified as “refurbished” by the dealer
- Other parts that require regular maintenance or replacement and are subject to normal wear and tear
The warranty claim expires in the event of:
- Damage due to improper handling
- Beschädigung durch unsachgemäße Handhabung
- Damage due to environmental influences (such as moisture, heat, dirt, etc.)
- Non-observance of the operating instructions
- Consignment in packaging that is unsafe for transport
- Modifications to the product (including attempted repairs without prior authorisation by medacom GmbH)
