Coarse material residues can be removed with a spatula.

The mat is cleaned with a wet cloth.

Step 2

Now clean your cutting mat with warm water and a little washing-up liquid.

Please note: With Silhouette cutting mats, the entire adhesive layer is usually removed. However, this is not a problem as it is reapplied with Freshmat in the next steps.

The edges of the cutting mats are carefully masked with masking tape.

Step 3

Protect the edges of your cutting mat by carefully masking them with masking tape. This step is crucial, as taped edges can damage the transport rollers of your cutting machine.

The Freshmat can is shaken vigorously.

Step 4

Only use Freshmat outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms! Shake the can thoroughly before use. Choose an insensitive surface and place newspaper underneath if necessary.

The cutting mat is now sprayed.

Step 5

Maintain a distance of around 20 cm and spray your cutting mat evenly. The longer you spray and the more adhesive you apply, the stronger the adhesion of the mat will be.

Remove the masking tape from the cutting mat.

Step 6

You can now remove the masking tape.

An iron-on foil is tested on the corner of the cutting mat.

Done!

Tips: Before attaching the material completely to the mat, we recommend that you first test it on a corner of the mat.
