What is a heat press?
A heat press (also called transfer press) is a device that uses heat and pressure to transfer designs or prints onto various materials, such as textiles. It is commonly used for applying foils, sublimation prints, as well as flex and flock foils.
Iron on-foils
Available in a variety of colours and effects – perfect for customising a wide range of textiles.
Sublimation
With a heat press, you can sublimate designs, provided you have met all the necessary conditions (textile & more).
Iron or heat press?
Your iron also generates heat. However, the heat distribution of an iron is not optimal. Heat presses are specifically designed for creative applications with heat transfer foil and sublimation.
Since the temperature of an iron often cannot be set precisely enough, this could result in vinyl or your sublimation not transferring correctly.
Even with just a few projects, a heat press can save time and be a great help.
Vorteile
✅ Optimal transfer – Press time and temperature can be adjusted according to the manufacturer’s specifications
✅ Evenly distributed heat and smooth surface – Uniform transfer and better grip without steam holes
✅ Quick Heating – Set it up & get started. The LED displays show you how far your press has heated up.

FAQ
Your Questions – Our Answers!
The ideal temperature and pressing time depend on the type of foil and material being used. It is important to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the fil or sublimation material.
Heat presses can be used on cotton, polyester, blended fabrics, and some other types of materials for sublimation.
The heating plate should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth to maintain its functionality and longevity. To prevent the surface from becoming dirty, we recommend using a heat-resistant non-stick sheet.
Common mistakes include incorrect temperature or time settings, insufficient pressure, or unsuitable material selection. These can lead to incomplete or defective results.
Yes, our transfer presses are user-friendly and therefore suitable for beginners. However, it is advisable to carefully read the instructions before first use and perhaps start with small projects.
When working with a transfer press, ensure a stable position and follow the operating instructions to avoid injuries or damage. Always read our safety precautions in the manual for your iXpress transfer press.
The different sizes of heat presses result from the varying needs of users. Small heat presses are ideal for beginners or for use on difficult areas such as near buttons, while larger models are designed for professional applications.
The size of the press mainly depends on the type of printable objects and the production volume. For example, larger surfaces are needed for items like T-shirts or bags, whereas compact models are sufficient for smaller objects such as caps or mugs.
For example, there are mug presses specifically designed for sublimating and customising mugs. They feature a cylindrical heating plate that is perfectly shaped to fit mugs.
